About us

Fun memories to last a lifetime

Get The Kids Out is a Southend charity that provides day trips, short breaks and activities for children and young people, to create fun memories to last a lifetime.

As an approved provider in Southend's Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, we run free holiday clubs from 10am to 2pm for eligible children, with snacks, lunch, juice and water through the day.

All our staff are DBS-checked and trained in safeguarding and food hygiene, and the team at our specialist club is SEND-trained.

Our story

Summer for 500 families

In October 2025 the Co-op's Local Community Fund backed our plan to run summer day trips and activities for 500 families living in the most deprived areas of central Southend.

The aim is simple: give young people something positive to do in the holidays, cut antisocial behaviour, and help families with food costs.
